Christmas day rabbit.

I didn't realise this site had a hunting and fishing forum... Well now that I found it you can expect some post of my adventures.
Here is some pics from my first successful small game hunt since I was a kid with a bb gun.
Set out on Christmas morn determined to get a wabbit dinner. Walked around all morning, followed a few small game trials to no avail. Nothing... Other than a squirrel that jumped out of a tree right next to my face startling me and then running off before I could even think to draw my pistol. Then right when I was head back to the car I see another little game trial and said what the heck so I followed it to some tall grass and as I walked up to it I gave the gass a kick. Boom... What do I see but a little white tail dart off so I follow the rabbit for quite a while though what turns out to be a thorn field until I get what I have to accept as a good enough shot and drop him where he stands.

I seasoned it up then browned in some bacon grease. Once browned I added beer, chicken stock and onions to the pan and finished the braising process over hot coals. Christmas dinner was had and It was great!
