If it tastes like chicken ...... why not just eat chicken?

Do you know what the difference between a gerbil and a hamster is? ....... A gerbil has more white meat!

Sorry, a couple of "Bobcat" Goldthwait's old jokes.

I don't care for chicken, why? Simple, every nasty thing to come along and they tell me it tastes like chicken. Snails, human flesh, dog, snake, all is supposed to taste like chicken, so why in hell would I want to eat chicken. I remember old member Wildman who kills huge rattlesnakes around his home, chops them up, breads and deep fry's them, serves it to party guests telling them it's calamari, more shit that I will not eat.

I'm sorry! I was just making a joke. Btw, human flesh is supposed to taste like pork, according to headhunters in Papau New Guinea.

Only think that tastes like chicken is chicken. Some things probably do come close, though.

I hope Wildman is doing OK, I know he was battling the Big C a few years back, however if invited to his home , eat nothing!

I believe Wildman lives in Arizona, or someplace were they have huge rattlesnakes and scorpions, that sort of fun stuff. Maybe his neighbors found out what Wildman was feeding them, that could be why we haven't heard from him in awhile.

Then maybe I'll fry up a cottonmouth. As the populace says around here, "them there's good eats"

Sorry but when it comes to snakes if I see one there will not be enough left to eat. The only good snake is a vaporized one. Do I need to show my snake remedy again?

Exceptional! Not to mention huge. And beneficial to the war on rats. Killed a rat yesterday, he was swimming in my pool. One whack over the head, two thumps with .22LR.

I had a foster dog who would catch rats and carry them around in his mouth like a cat would. I never knew where he got them, but it was always in the back yard. He would drop them off on the deck, sniff them, and just leave them there... like a cat. No need for gunfire, cats, or snakes when he was around.

Field rats, you could have a large colony of them nearby. They don't grow as large as some rats, but they make up for it in numbers. I have lots of snakes, mostly the garden variety, but there are some huge snakes near the water, and some big rattlesnakes. Black snakes, little green snakes, rat snakes, milk snakes, Copperheads, and so on. They all work for me killing mice, rats, and bugs.

I'm going to do it! I need some aluminum and a means of melting it, suggestions?

It's also kinda pretty. Really cool, to be sure.

Aluminum requires a proper crucible for melting, something a bit more than your average lead melting pot. Hobbyist's who cast in copper, or silver would have one, or gold for that matter. These setups are not cheap to buy or run. Depending on the alloy you need at least 1,300°F and a fairly large crucible for that kind of casting.

Something like this but probably larger

Bigger being the key word.

Some of those castings weighed twenty pounds!

I'm thinking a thirty pound (of aluminum) capacity smelter would be ideal. Big anthills need more metal, foot tall anthills need even more.

Trick is heat, that metal may melt at 1300 or so, but figure on 1600-1700 so it will remain liquid longer as you pour it down the ant nest. I wonder how many hours it takes to dig it out, not to mention the care that must be taken not to smash it while digging. That's a lot of beer cans and old lawn chair frames.

He didn't say.

Here it would take a half dozen "immigrants" and a week to dig it out of this red clay.
