thought I would say this but I am actually down with the sickness and building one for myself. What you ask? A heavy barreled AR-15. Using a Colt A-2 upper with a DElaware Machinery lower (made near my hometown) with a custom HBAR barrel and a fixed stock. Never thought I would build one for myself. Have done so for others but now I get to play LOL ;)

I'm eager to see your project. Maybe some photo's of it as your putting it all together along with the finished project?

I built mine much later than Jim, and I did it just before the Obama scare (after he won the election but before taking office).

Yea, I heard about that, I talked to Bill and Hil at lunch the other day, and you are still on their shit list over that build.

Well, that build is gonna be put off for awhile. Got hit with a unexpected bill and moneys tight anyways.............. thank good ness I have several other projects on the bench ;)

Sorry to hear that, NS! Keep it on the back burner till the money's right.....

I built an XM177E2 with an A2 upper right after I got out in '89. Sold it on the eve of the Clinton Ban. Brought it to a gun show, and got over 4x what I had into it. I'm keepin' my AK build though!
