I really have to get my act together! I was trying to locate a 9mm barrel for a 30 Luger I have and turned up my very first 22 rifle. It belonged to my grandfather and has been passed on till it got to me. The metal is in near mint condition but the wood is in a sorry state. I found a stock for it and have restored the beauty of the little rifle and yet maintained the character of originality. The pics are coming! I am not up to speed on the new tech so I depend on the grandchildren for posting pics. I think the guns were sold at one time by Sears for just a couple of dollars. This one I can tell you was very well used by all who had it and my dad who had it last was a Marine Corp Gunnery Sgt who insured all our firearms were in proper and clean condition. The little model 1902 Winchester 22lr shows the care provided for it. Sorry for lack of pics but they are coming.

Can't wait for the photos
Mine is currently working on it's forth generation in our family. My great grandfather bought it at some point and it's made it to me, hopefully it will keep going when I'm gone. It shows it's use, abuse and life through the generations. But, it still functions and shoots good and I wish it could talk, cause I'd be all ears on this one.
Also have a Stevens Favorite 1894, it's been in the family as long as the Winchester, the Stevens fires, but best guess on where the shot went.

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
