My Mosin Nagant sniper

Post by samiam22 »

This is my Mosin Nagant sniper that I picked up at a pawn shop in the mid 1990's for $190. the stock seems to be in alot better shape than the ones that are being imported now. The color of the stock is the same as my other mosin's but the finish is alot better done you can see a few brush marks but its almost as if it has been buffed out have any of you seen this. BTW all the marks are right for a sniper.

This I leave to the sniper experts, they will however require clear pics of the scope, mount, all markings, and probably a few other things before they can say legit, or not. At the time you bought it Century International Arms was flooding the market with fake PU snipers.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.

Samiam is that your collection in that background or the inside of a shop, either way I see some nice stuff back there.

What a deal for $190.00. That's a nice sniper no matter what the history of it is. I like them all. They have that special look that a Military weapon with a scope has. Deadly at long range.Just the way you want it on the battlefield. JGC

Thank you
Yeah. Its my collection I,v been into surplus rifles on and off since the late 1980's. During the on times I'm buying during the off time they sit in the safe. Now that I'm retired from the military I got back into them about 2 years ago. I'v been looking for uncommon Mosin Nagants. (or what ever comes along for a good price, been on an Enfield run latly).
