Righteous Remington 1903, non-refurbished

Post by martin08 »

Every once in a while, a rifle can be found in its original manufactured configuration. Well traveled, and untouched by a refurbishment facility. This one speaks for itself.

Thanks for looking.

Very nice  the M1903 is one I have yet to pick up. Just haven't found that "one" I guess, or something else pops. Most I find are butchered or drilled

Thanks all. I'd been needing a Remington 1903 for quite a while to fill out the model collection. Passed up on many refurbs or parts guns. Didn't mind paying the $650 at the gunshow, and had a couple of SKS bayonets thrown into the mix.

Also, this $30 1903-A3 Remington stock set will make the next Bubba Salvage project go much more smoothly!

Nice deal on that stock set, I had an extra that I sold on eBay years back for a couple of hundred bucks. The Remington '03 was the forgotten '03, as in I brought it home from a show sometime in 1990, bagged it to play with later, stuck it in the back of a closet and forgot it was there for 15 years until I chanced to clean up the closet one day. I am standing there holding this rifle and wondering how the hell it got there. Took some sorting through old notebooks to find mention of it or I would have been making the rounds of friends asking if they had left this with me, and of course the first one I asked would have said " why yes, I did" Back then I was hauling stuff home every weekend, things that sell for large sums today, but were very cheap back then, sometimes I forgot about stuff.
