I may or may not have handed her some clothes money on the way to the gun shop... Also while we were there she wanted to look at a wounded warrior lever action 44 mag and a single action heritage 22. She didn't buy either but its a start.

Nice! I like the rough milled finish on that receiver.....almost looks like wood grain! :vcool: Smooth looking stock too....there's something special about that Red-Roosky shellac. That's how a '43 Izhevsk is supposed to look!! Great Mosin! Congrats!!
I was able to watch the Photobucket video just fine....Good job!!

This Mosin looks so much like mine that it's scary...

Mine is a Tula numbered 3666 and it looks almost identical to yours =P
Same incredibly beautiful stock too.

By the time you buy another half dozen you'll know for sure how much she really supports you. That is when you test the "for better of worse"part of your wedding vows. :P

My eye just caught the title of this thread, you do understand that "number 2" has an entirely different meaning to the under 12 set?

I would say it's more of an orderly disorder.

Why fight it, just embrace the horror and go with it, when you find yourself living in a tent out in the backyard because all available space in the house if taken up with milsurps......get a bigger house :)

I can't wait to take this one for a spin at the range. Maybe I'll take both and show then what a real rifle is supposed to be!

What video? I looked but I didn't see one. Oh, the Number 2 topic  you had me confused there for a bit with the title change. When I came back on and saw it I didn't know what the hell you were talking about, I couldn't recall having asked anyone for a video
