hello all,
ok i live in wonder full Cali. where everything cost more and do not have a C&R. so i was wounding if $189 was to high to pay for for a 1939 Tula 91/30. all numbers but the bayonet match. it is a refurb so even though the numbers match the bolt has Izhevsk marks on it.

thanks

I wouldn't be in a hurry to buy at that price, check around a little. Many gun shops have a couple of these in a dark, dusty corner. Check some of the on-line sellers, look at gunbroker. You could probably get a similar rifle for a little less. If, after a search, you can't find a better deal, you will not be getting snookered at that price. Try to talk them down to $150.00 that should be fair for both of you.

Recently, Centerfire systems was selling nice rifles, for $109.00 shipped. (I got a 1940 Tula). If you do not have a license, you will have to pay a FFL dealer a fee to receive the rifle for you. I don't know what they get for that in California, but in Florida you can buy that service for $20.00.

Found my 1932 Izhevsk ex-dragoon for $119 at Big 5. $164 OTD after tax, DROS, etc. I've seen many examples of MN's hovering from $119-200. If you are 21 or over, spend the $30 and send off for your C&R so you can order online. Big 5 gets theirs from Century Arms and it would allow you to order direct and save a few $. Just my .02

Big 5 also gets them form PW sometimes. They had a rash of PW imports at the big 5s here. they have a sale about everyother week on the mosins so go and ask. :D
