With some good soft point ammo and enough practice at 50 and 100 yards to feel confident in your shot placement I think it is time to make room in your freezer for a lot of good venison. Good luck.

Don't use the issue ammo, full metal case will blow right through the deer, get some of the commercial soft points as Russell recommended, you should have no problems.

For ribs???? they're tasty,
but i think those 203s will work good as you always have to hold low for 147s. Are they white tails or muleys? It'll do the job on both

Good luck on the hunt! I might bring a Mosin with along with the Remington. I have 4 days this year.
