I picked up this 91/30 about a year ago as my first Mosin and first rifle ever. I researched for weeks and weeks prior to my purchase, and needless to say I pretty much decided I was going to buy this rifle as soon as I laid my eyes on it.
1938 Tula. Force matched stamped numbers, with the mag floorplate, buttplate, and bolt lacking the cryllic prefixes. Vast majority of parts on the rifle are Tula star stamped. The stock is what makes this rifle. It also features a brass handguard.

Stock has a faint Tula star imprint dating it to more than likely 1929-1939. The Milled barrel bands are Tula Hammer stamped

Receiver is very clean. Import mark is on the muzzle and discreet. Very few inspection marks on the receiver. The stamping is strong, and features a refurb "box" stamped on the "No" but lacking a verticle or diagonal slash. Bolt features mostly Tula Star stamped parts, except for the bolt handle which is Izhevsk Triangle stamped.

Stock does have an interesting repair on the bottom behind the triggergaurd

It has maybe 100 rounds or less thru it. I don't shoot it much and it still sweats Cosmo on the rare occasion I take it to the range. It always draws compliments, especially of anyone else is shooting a Mosin that day. It's easily my favorite Mosin to look at.
