Good place to get accessories

Post by ohm »

My M44 didn't come with any accessories, not even a cleaning rod. I was looking at Amazon and there seems to be a few good deals there, I am mainly just looking for a sling and cleaning rod but there was also a deal on 10 stripper clips and butt pad for $13. Are there any other places that I should be looking that might have things cheaper? I suppose I should also at least pick up a Mosin tool.

I am familiar with *Cheaper Than Dirt*. They sometimes have some good deals, as I have found for my handgun accessories and ammo. I know they carry stripper clips too, but idk the quality compared to amazon.

There has to be at least a 1000 places for slings and such. Sarco, numrich and a host of others. I would do a google search for what you are looking for and start at the top.

I ended up on good old epay and got an accessory set from one seller for $23 shipped which has an ammo pouch, tool kit and sling. I also ordered form another seller 10 stripper clips for $9.40. Also today I picked up a soft rifle case for transportation purposes and a 50 cal. ammo can for when I pick up the spam can since I only had a 30 cal can and it's full of 22lr ammo, can never have enough 22lr :D

Gunbroker also has auctions with accessory packs, some dealers sell the rifle alone and then sell the accessories for some cash on the side.

I need two cleaning rods, and some spare parts (inventory) and I've been looking around. I've covered most of the spots mentioned, Ebay does have some good stuff. Funny, some folks are asking unreal prices for all sorts of items. I see the "trend" is to seperate the rifle from its accessories to try and make extra $$. :very mad:

While were at it, there is another "fad" I see as I roam the 'net' and its making "The Complete Mosin Nagant Package" by tossing everything into a Plano rifle case and calling this some sort of "deal" on everything you need. Price? Usually the far north side of $250.00 :beek: :beek: :beek: :vconfused: !

Not bad work if you can get it... $109.00 rifle sold with accessories + one Plano plastic rifle case $35.00, clean up and package for $250.00. Profitt? a cool "C" note........... if you can find a buyer.......and the freekin buyer pays the shipping!!!!!!! Gotta love it. :big shock: :chuckles:

Oh yea, good money, and they find buyers or we wouldn't be seeing them selling their stuff time after time. A lot of guys who come over from US milsurps, or high end sporters think $250 is a ridiculously small amount to pay for a rifle, they just don't know what they actually sell for from AIM, or other more reasonable dealers.

There is even a fool selling painted Mosins. All kinds of crap paint jobs. I about crapped em when I looked at a fantastic 20's ex-drag
oon with a beautifully stamped barrel........ and freaking fire engine red stock with a Russian star on the side. AND PEOPLE BUY THEM!

Anyway back to your question, I agree with the Liberty Tree suggestion. Look at all the stuff they have for other guns too. Nice sling selection for Mosins and Mausers.

Look here. http://gun-deals.com/index.php?dealtype=arms&category=4 Pick a sub-catagory and visit the deals listed and look around the vendors sites. Most of them have the things you're looking for.

As I said I ended up ordering an accessory kit on Ebay which came today, looks brand spankin new. I installed the sling on the rifle and it looks much better, like a proper riffle, steel, wood, canvas and leather. I also got 10 stripper clips so I filled up 6 of them and stuffed them into the ammo pouch. Tomorrow I am going to go down and pick up a spam can of ammo :vcool: I just need to find a cleaning rod now to finish to complete the package.

Nothing to be sorry about, you didn't link to any auctions, we encourage members with stuff to sell to list the items, that's why we have the for sale area. You will find a market here as people do need things sometimes, firing pin tools, cleaning kits, and cleaning rod's are always popular.
