Hello !

I possess this 1943 izhmash pu sniper.

What do you think about these markings ? It is on the left side of the receiver, where the scope number is written.

Probably an export mark, but what could be the geometrical shape ?

Thanks

Right now I'm assuming either some sort or import/export marking or proof marking. At least until we find out what all the letters and symbols are.

Oh, and where are you located US or overseas?

Proof markings, commonly done in the EU. As to it being a legit sniper, well there just isn't enough in the pics to say it is.

It is a Molot export, it seems to be a reconditionned gun with genuine parts.

The bolt is from Tula. I can spot a star on it. But the number on it looks like original ( not grounded)

The stock is a war model probably.

What do you think ?

In my opinion, the bolt SN font is different than the barrel SN font and is also missing the letter (K) prefix.

Typically this points to the bolt being (Or part) being a replacement. I don't know if this line of thinking still holds true today or not, but in years past this was the understanding.
