Always love seeing Remingtons! I can tell you that I don't see as many 1918 Remington's as I see 1917s. I tend to use this website to "grade" my Mosin-Nagant rarity, from what you can see here, it says that a Remington M1891 has a rarity of 5/10, so decently uncommon.

That list is WAY out of wack because it is WAY out dated.
Problem with doing a list like that is, it tells you the rarity AT - THAT - TIME.
Many of those rifles marked as not rare, .... try and find one now to purchase. You can't.
So, what is rare???

Thank you Darryl for your response, that’s why I was concerned with value, several years ago Mosins were $100 or less for imports , a correct one like this non import marked I’m not sure of value , guess I can check auction sights and see prices
Thanks

The more we move down the calendar on these rifles, the harder it will get to put a value on them unless we can compare them in an auction or sale. This is why when they were $50 we were clear (here on this forum) to not alter them. If you didn't alter them even refurbished rifles are going to go up in value. AND THEY HAVE. Hard to believe those same $50 rifles are now selling for over $300 and up.
The value of a rifle is not how rare it was when it was made, but even more so, ... how hard it is to get now.
So, what is "rare"????
Only a few were ever made?
Or how hard it is to get now?
Both of those effect the value.
