Went to the gunshow, with my son-in-law, about 1 1/2 hours away (Ft Walton)....Wow lots of milsurps.
Picked up a M91 Mosin Nagant lockring bayonet and a KaBar my SIL liked and had eyes on (Told him keep his money, I'll get it), plus this CZ-82. The table with the M91 bayonet had a CZ-82 with about 40% finish if that, one magazine and no holster, etc. Well the table my SIL found the KaBar, had this one, so it came home with me, even with the ugly billboard import markings.
1989 made CZ-82, 2 magazines, holster and cleaning rod, just missing the lanyard. Bonus picture of it with one of our two 1991 made CZ-83s (FIL fell in love with it and kept the 2nd one) that came back from Germany with us and my 1953 CZ-52.

I had one of those and liked it. 4 kinds of ammo thru it including HP and it never failed. It was pretty accurate too, for such a strange looking bore. I can't tell much difference in 9x18 and 9x19 as pistol power goes.

I'm looking forward to getting it out to the range that is for sure.

It's a "snappy" semi. I have one and it is my favorite Mil surplus.
Little heavy and "wide" for concealed carry, but it will do anything you ask of it.

CINC Household loves her 83 and it's a fun gun to shoot. It shoots where you point at. Plus it's a nice solid gun, so when shooting it weak handed, it still works great.
So I figured the 82 can't be much different from it.

I love the CZ-82 and other CZ handguns. CZ handguns just reek with quality. I have a CZ-82 manufactured in 1994; it must be the last of the military production. It has a finish that is more like a Cerakote than the earlier baked on paint finishes. However, my absolute favorite is the Israeli Police trade-in CZ-83 in .380 ACP. It looks brand new and shoots amazingly well.

Nice, I like it a lot. Are those aftermarket grips on the 83?
Here's our Czech pistols, and as I sit here typing this I'm debating on looking for other surplus CZ models.
Pic 1: 1991 CZ-83 in 380 that CINC Household uses.
Pic 2: 1991 CZ-83 in 380 that the FIL held on to.
Pic 3: 1989 CZ-82 in 9mm Makarov we just got.
Pic 4: 1952 CZ-52 in 7.62x25 obviously.

In 2016 I was able to purchase the CZ factory wood grips for the CZ-83 from Midway USA; they are no longer available. The CZ-83 has been out of production for quite some time.

Thanks; yeah for factory wood, they look pretty nice. It makes the grip a bit thicker, so I still have the black plastic grips that came with the gun if I ever want to swap them out.
