Wind

Post by Darryl »

Wow, we had huge wind from 50-60 mph with gusts to 75 or so on Tuesday.

We lost power and the internet from Tuesday at noo till Wednesday night late.

You just don't realize how loosing power can make life miserable.
No TV
No Internert
No lights
Can't cook anything except outside. We are out a lot! LOL

Spent the first day setting up the generator and running the cords to keep the Freezers going.

What a waste of time! ;mywink;

Candles, oil lamps, Jackery power station, gas generators, and my 1970's alcohol backpackers Optimus stove for cooking up the Ramen noodle soup, or Mountain House emergency rations. Earthquake country and not prepared for disaster? I have all that crap just for winter storms and summer twisters, never mind the possibility of the earth opening up under my feet.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.

Speaking of winter storms, what's your snow total there ? A lot.

The entire winter to date? Maybe four inches total. This has been a non winter for the most part, one cold day, one very cold day, above freezing the rest of the time.
