Pours!

Got a call from an former Air Force co-worker (Tommy) he's getting a triple bypass in the am. Called the widow (June) of another Air Force co-worker (Jere) to let her know what's going on with Tommy.. She informs me their youngest son (Tommy, retired Marine), got a severe case of pneumonia, brought on by breathing in black mold. Apparently the State Forensics Lab he works in is infested with it, so he's suing them.

The next door neighbor (Don) that we were staying with was recently diagnosed with cancer (Stage 2-3 range). Then today he informed us that his Bat Shit Crazy girl friend (Charlotte), that was admitted to the hospital during a doctor's appointment last Friday (The day she was supposed to move back in her own house with her daughter) is scheduled to get a Pace Maker implanted. Oh and she was diagnosed with Dementia, and congestive heart failure.

Damn near too scared to call or talk to anyone else.......Gonna turn the phone off, unplug the front door, and hide the rest of the night......

Yeah, I know how that is. Best to not go "poking around" much when you get older. You will find a lot of people you once knew...gone.

It happens when you get older and out last others!

Yea, the name of the game is Last Man Standing. Here you thought you were fucked up, there is always someone taking it up the ass worse. I don't ask too many questions either, I can wait to find out who kicked it, and why. I always tell people don't be calling me at 2am to tell me bad news, they will still be gone when the sun comes up and you can tell me then, changes nothing except I get my sleep.

My mother in law was big into attending funerals. In her late 70s and early 80s sometimes more than one a week. I thought, at the time, that she was really crass, because when she got home, I thought that she was smug rather than aggrieved. I am beginning to understand. ;)
