Serial number is in the Sniper Prefix so thats good .
Can faintly see a ( C) on the right side of the receiver. another tick
I'm not sure why there is 2 Scope serial numbers on the receiver with one number apart though. hopefully someone can chime in on that.
usuually they would grind them off or stamp them out .
need to see the rest of the stock and bolt
Also that scope mount is Tula not a Izhevsk

You will need more photos of
the import numbers and information
the bolt
Scope is "real".
Mount is not original. Looks after market.
Little confusing on the barrel shank. Looks like it was "maybe a sniper" at one time. Maybe a re-sniper?
Need to see import marks.

I will get more and better pictures, I am pretty sure the mount is not aftermarket, it has very rough machining , and just looks old unlike more modern mounts, but I could be 100% wrong also, what pix can I get that will help?

Have never been quoted a value, I have had it for about fifteen years, shot it last weekend for the first time, our club has a Vintage Sniper Rifle Match, I had planned to shoot it in the match. I can ring steel at 500 Meters with it, consistently.

I sighted it in myself, started off PPU, then switched over to hand loads, it does actually shoot very well, I will post a update after the Club Match this Saturday.

Does anyone have a feel for what a common, authentic sniper is going for now days? I no longer have a clue.

It's a real 1943 PU barrel and a real 1944 PU scope, matched together by a USSR repair depot. That makes them authentic. PU's had their scopes replaced in service all the time. Looks like your rifle is on its third scope.
The receiver, stock, scope mount, and bolt are questionable without better photos of them.

Early Century Arms imports had the same thing did to them and I don't consider them "done by the repair depot". I consider them fakes done in the USA by an importer for profit.
This is why I asked for a photo of the import mark. If it is anything other then Century, then maybe.
It could also be a "re-sniper" done with a barrel and added real crap on.
Till you offer the import mark, then I consider it a "reproduction".
