Greetings from the frozen mid-west! I collected several Mosins and other C&R's about 15 years ago but had to take a break since it was getting a bit too expensive. Looking back, I should have bought 10 times what I did! I kept a casual eye on the hobby over the last few years but just recently started reviewing my collection and am really appreciating these pieces of history. Now that I am mostly retired I am looking forward to giving these old war-horses the range time they deserve, fortunately I have a nice stash of ammo from the cheaper days. I recently stumbled onto this forum and so far a impressed with the knowledge base here.
Best regards,
Irish

Welcome to the board. We all wish we had bought ten times what we did, even those of us who did get carried away back then. The ones with real regrets went and sold their stuff years ago and then tried to get back in at today's prices.

Greetings and welcome. If I had been able to see into the future I would be dining with Bill Gates tonight on my mega yacht. You can't worry about what you did or didn't do in the past. History is the reason that I have gathered in old obsolete rifles. You never know where an old military rifle has been and what it has done. At least you can be glad that you are not having to pay a dollar a pop for ammo.
Enjoy your stay.

Welcome to the forum! Years ago I remember going to the gun range with my uncle and in the shop they had a crate of Mosin 91/30's for $100. Back in the day I wish I would have purchased more. While prices are on the rise if you look hard enough you can find a deal.
