You have been watching too many of the new Jurassic Park Movies! :chuckles:

If I had a T-Rex coming at me, There are only a few rifles I would have. Maybe this one, or some of those big Magnums.

I'll bet the recoil from that is like getting by a Nash Metro.

We ate the last T-Rex around here when I was a kid, then we had to swap to Mastodon, which tasted just like chicken.

That would be a nice rifle with a Walnut stock and blued, (I see that they can be ordered that way). I know that plywood (laminate) stocks are superior from a durability standpoint, but to me they just look like plywood.

I don't need any big-bores any more. I took the .12 gauge out for a little shooting on Tuesday and it beat me up with sporting clay ammo. I am not as muscular as I used to be and if I shoot it much more, I am going to need a limb-saver. I was shooting the Winchester model 59 with the fiberglass barrel, it is a real feather weight and the cycling does not absorb enough of the recoil energy to make up for the lack of mass.
