New in the box Norinco/Polytech??

Post by Longcolt44 »

Take your pick, the only reference to an arsenal is the circle 386 on the receiver which was used by both Norinco and Polytech. I bought this from a private collector that said he bought this around the middle '90s. This rifle was built by the Chinese to get by the "Assualt Weapons Ban" that President Clinton and Senator Ms. Feinstein got passed at that time. Note it is built on a MIlled AK 47 type receiver but no bayonet lug or pistol grip but does have a larger buttstock a longer chrome-lined barrel and came with only a 10 round magazine, ( you got 3 in the box ). Also in the box was a sling but missing was a plastic oil bottle and the owner's manual. The receiver is also marked "HUNTER" which is the model designation, the I.D.E. MCLEAN VA remains a mystery but may be the importer as no other import stamps are to be found. This rifle has never been fired so brings up the question, Do I or don't I shoot it? Enjoy the pictures.

Nice Chuck. I have one of the bottom ones. It's a Norinco 56S made at Factory 66.

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Fantastic find!

I vote to keep it mothballed & pristine. 8-)
