Steve, Weather Alert

Post by ffuries »

Steve if ETA holds its course you'll be getting some Tropical Storm strength winds around your neck of the woods come Thursday/Friday time frame. Looks like I'm going to be on the extreme Western edge of the projected path, whereas yall are slightly West of the projective path center.

Make sure you get any problem tree limbs around the house dealt with, hate to see a limb come down on the castle.....

Seems there is another disturbance forming out in the Atlantic as we speak. Talk about one screwed up year. Hurricanes, COVID-19, Elections, Fires.......2020 needs to end!

You had to say it, and with 2020 still just under two months left to run. A lot can happen in two months, thermonuclear war, polar shift, alien invasion, the return of disco. Now you fucked us all, thank you :beek:
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.

Oh come on Jim, you know you want to dust off your platform shoes, leisure suit, and strut your dance moves on the flashing checker board dance floor, sporting a porn stash.....

The damn thing shifted and the center is headed directly at us. It's forecasted to be a Tropical Depression at that time. Just means a lot of friggin rain, and breezy weather.

Look out! It might be heading your way!!!!

(This is just going off the chance it will re-direct to last person to give a warning. We are still cleaning up from Zeta, so a tropical depression can't do much more. I highly doubt it will come this far west.)

Oh geesh, I'm so done with the weather.

Current weather out there.....Theta has formed, offically making 2020 a record year! Plus there in another disturbance out there, which would become Iota if it forms.

Easy one there, I'm a Floridian which means I don't go to the beach often, that's a tourist thing. So stay away from the beach, and IF I go ,and that's a big IF, don't jump around dogs........

Come to think of it I can't remember the last time I actually went to the beach!

You are right about that, the beaches are great except for the sun, sand, salt water, bugs and tourists.

It is the same with people with really dark tans. Floridians don't do that, we know what tropical sun can do to skin cells. I didn't wear a cap all of my working life because I wanted to look cool. I just can't stand the smell of carcinoma in the morning, it smells like death.

That latest projection has me in the bulls-eye. We could use some rain, it has been hot and dry for a while. While the fluke can always get you, I don't too much worry about tropical force winds. I gained a lot of confidence in a hip roof after Hurricane Michael.

I am watching the weather for some approaching rains, I have some timber piles that could use burned, once you get them going, rain won't put them out, but will keep them contained.
