We spent over half the day watching this thing go across the sky. Took several hours of looking on the internet to find out what it was, and it was my wife and son that solved the mystery for us......HBAL01......Damn, still cool, but not as cool as an UFO full of ETs.
Honestly I thought it was a weather balloon or an atmospheric test balloon.
Apparently it was at an altitude of 60,000 feet or so. Getting a picture of it wasn't an easy task. Trying to take a digital camera and zooming in on a little speck and trying to get a picture of it, was an adventure of its own.

Re: UFO........
In the spring of '83 I was one of hundreds of people chasing something in the sky across the county, one of the many unknown object sightings that happened in the Hudson Valley during the early to mid 80's that have never been solved. We all saw it, and tried to keep up with it, deputies, town police, state troopers, numerous citizens, even DEP trucks were in on the chase. I wish we had the easy digital video cameras of today, that would have been one hell of a show.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
