So, Sonny, what are the temps down in the valley? It is hotter than the hinges on the gates of Hell here.

Last week it was hot,mid to high 80's.. The last few days have been cool with daytime highs in the low 60's.

Next week the forecast is back up to low to mid 70;s which is where I like it.

I expect to see some geese flying south in the next week or two.

93 here today, and very humid.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.

Last week we had a couple of 118 days. Worst we’ve had was 122. Had to closed the airport because planes can’t take off when it’s that hot.

We stay inside during the hot part of the day. Construction crews will often start around 5am and knock off around 2pm to avoid working the hottest part of the day. One fellow I know in Mesa does his walking in the wee hours of the morning. Down in Tucson, we're typically ten degrees cooler than Phoenix. I think the hottest we've gotten was 109-110 this year.

But it's a dry heat........

I love telling anyone down here that when we lived in Mesa, we had the AC set at 85 because of the lack of humidity. Now 76 can feel muggy and have to drop to 72 to get the moisture out. We have been thinking about a whole-house dehumidifier, but that's going to run about $3000 after having to replace a water heater (when it goes) With a on-demand one.

My wife and I were living in the Phoenix area, specifically Mesa, when we hit that 122 degree mark. Couldn't drive the car with air conditioning, because the engine would overheat. Felt like turkeys in the oven at Thanksgiving... :devil2:
