Stents

I have been feeling absolutely exhausted for the last several months. Had both an echo and stress test. Off to the Cath lab on Tuesday for a couple of stents then major open heart for the valves. Not sure when this will occur thinking September. Biggest bummer they won’t let my wife into the hospital even though she used to be a cardiac nurse. This old is getting old as many of the rest of you can attest to.

I got two stents after my heart attack, procedure was easy, but had to keep on my back for like 8 hours because they entered through the groin area, the arm is better. I had a heart cath through the arm one time, and 3 through the groin area.

Hope you get to feeling better, prayers, beers, good wishes etc sent your way.....

Thanks. Frustrating as hell. I also have a partially paralyzed diaphragm some right lung doesn’t work. The worst is when I had to punch out of my F-4 in 1972 I did a lot of damage to my cervical spine. Fast forward to to day I can only pick up 3-4 lbs with my left are and have lost the ability to write as I am a lefty. I have all these Mosin but need to put the gun down to work the bolt. It’s a good thing I shoot lefty because I couldn’t hold the gun with my left hand. To heavy for me.

My wife and my brother went through that heart surgery. He's still kicking (sort of). He had his surgery when he was 47. Now, he's 72. Hasn't had to have additional surgeries either. My wife wasn't so lucky. She only lasted about 12 years. At that time, they were still cracking the chest. You never fully recover from this and it takes forever for the sternum to mend. Hopefully, you won't have to have this. Good luck
