I have never seen this situation after all these years I have been doing business with SG Ammo.

I ordered a brick of sub sonic about 10 days ago and they had a message up to expect delays due to high volume. I just got it today. Dollar General stores are opening 8-9 in the mornings for seniors only. I've scored a 12 pack of ass wipe both days. I also got an end roll of newspaper at the Times, about 15 lbs. worth for $3.00.tjtM38 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 18, 2020 5:33 am I have never seen this situation after all these years I have been doing business with SG Ammo.

Yeah Sam's been seeing heavy traffic for a while now but starting on Monday the 9th he had a notice that orders placed that day wouldn't be processed until Friday the 13th that week. He's been having a day to sometimes thee days backlog for some time but when I saw he was out to the end of the week I knew we were seeing a run start. Then Thursday he had it out to Mon., Tue, or Wed. By Sat. he had the whole week listed as possible ship dates. Then Sat he was 5-10 days out and by Sun it was 14 days. All that weekend his site was being hammered and crashing too. The only other time I saw his site do this was a month or so ago when he told me he was having hack attempts on the site but I knew this wasn't that. During the weekend he started limiting SKUs to slow things down and finally Sunday night he shut the site off. I had to shut all his stuff on gun-deals off too because people were flagging all his deals and I had no way of checking them so I completely disabled his inventory on our site. He might start restoring some SKUs Monday but that depends on what he has left and how fast it's bought up. I suspect he's going to get hammered again. It's the same with a lot of other vendors. Oh and prices from a bunch of them are up. Not historical highs but if this keeps up and supply lags we could see record prices before this shit show ends.tjtM38 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 18, 2020 5:33 am I have never seen this situation after all these years I have been doing business with SG Ammo.

Yeah the main caliber/s that got hit first were .223/5.56 and 9mm. Then they started hitting everything else. I've been dealing with it for over a week now on gun-deals. We've lost almost 4,000 ammo deals. .308/7.62x51 is hurt pretty bad but there's still some around. I just cleaned up the .308/7.62x51 chart on gun-deals tonight and killed a crap load of deals and that's after a week of deals already going out of stock. Sam isn't the only vendor to shut down or seriously limit their inventory. Bill at The Armory has everything on his site at "out of stock" status for now. Some are starting to turn them back on or at least some SKUs. I think it's gong to be this way for a while. At least until people feel the world isn't ending.Lavitias wrote: ↑Tue Mar 24, 2020 2:34 am Your not kidding Weldon I use SGammo exclusively unless Joe happens to have something I want, and when I saw his ship dates getting pushed out I was like well this isn't gonna be good. Interesting side note though seems like 7.62/.308 isn't being hit as hard or their was just more inventory of that built up then 5.56 to begin with.
