Because while you Can, and Do, spend far more money on better engineered and more expensive firearms, your Finnish Civil Guard Mosin-Nagant has stolen your heart and is now your go to gun in the event the balloon going up. Solid, accurate and you can buttstroke the crap out of a squad of douchebags without breaking a csweat. Just because.

For me it will always be the US rifle Caliber .30 M1, but I keep an M39 in the ready rack because I tend to shoot well with them.

That is a definite attribute of the WW 2 era rifles. They make excellent clubs. Butt stroke someone with an M 4 and you will end up with a bunch of parts

I always suspected that.....
REAL STEEL butt plates were made for smashing stuff.
Just like an attached bayonet.....was for poking holes into stuff.

I don't know that I could name one rifle as my favorite, but I love to shoot my Mosin's. Unbelievable how accurate these WW2 guns are after what they've been through.

Boys, I gotta tell y'all, if I am depending on butt stroking for survival, you may as well call the funeral home. I ain't got a hell of a lot of running and gunning left either. I would just have to man the fortifications and take pot shots at the young whippersnappers till they got me. There is a good reason the Army doesn't recruit old men.
