HI Power

Post by SA1911a1 »

Just in case anyone has not been hanging out around Gunbroker, there is a pile of (police?) Surplus Hi Powers selling in the sub $500.00 range. They don't look half bad from here either. Had Santa not rouged my pocketbook, I would be all over one.

It's a big lie, they don't have any more power than any 9mm. Yea I saw and I want, but just bought a Taurus, two S&W's and a M-38.

Those are pretty rough. From Israel.
Real gun control is the ability to hit the target.

My "firearms budget" is already accounted for relative to a previously agreed to deal. I will probably eventually get one and pay more for it but as they say "That's Life"
Damn, I'll bet that's going to leave a mark! Probably hurt too!

My budget is tapped too. I have a couple of FEG Hi Power clones but I really want to pick up a "real" Hi Power one of these days.

Ten acres of wooded land adjacent to my place, that I don't need, and can't afford, just came up for sale. I am going to buy it to keep the riff-raff away from my home and it is going to drain my gun spending money down to about zilch.shit. Peace and quite is getting expensive. I think I have convinced my son that he needs one of the Hi Powers, so perhaps I can still have one to play with.

I took my Grandparents home place in the country when my Grandmother passed away a couple of years ago. It's has 11 acres and the house on it. I like that I have options if I want to get away and go shoot or just get out and work in the outdoors. I lived with my grandparents from eighth grade through college and did not want to see it leave the family while I was alive and of course loved staying there as a young kid too. I love going there and mowing and keeping it up. My wife has nothing to do with the country so I can't convince her to move there but it's only 30 minutes from the house so it's an easy drive to escape. The way I see it is they're not making any more land so it couldn't be a bad investment for nothing other than signing my name.

IMHO SA1911a1 property is never a bad investment especially if bought at a fair price.

My problem is that since June I've bought a CZ-52, Springfield Loaded 1911, Remington Rand 1911, M96 Swede Mauser, Longbranch No 4 Mk 1 Enfield, Sestroryetsk M91 Mosin Nagant, Tikkakoski M91 Mosin Nagant, Tula M91-30 Mosin Nagant and a Manurhin Walther PP. If I buy anything else the wife is gonna make me move to the home place. :D
