You want snipers? Start with this guy. The sniper is the man or woman behind the trigger with years of specialist training and endless practice. What I see here so far are pictures of a bunch of rifles, all useless unless in the hands of the very few individuals with the skills to use them.

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

If those are useless then I want to buy a few of Millertymes, he probably wouldn't want much.

We are only collectors, not snipers for the most part, the term " sniper" is often misused when describing a category of weapons that are, or were at one time used for specialized purposes. The " sniper" is the person behind the trigger, the rifle is just a tool used by skilled operators, and some of these skilled operators used very ordinary rifles like Simo with his M28/30 .

Rifles used by highly trained military and law enforcement operators have names that do not include " sniper" Take Millers rifles with the big 02 on the stock, these are Hungarian M52's, a copy of the Soviet M91/30 PU. A rifle I am familiar with given I own one. The term " sniper" can be used to lump together squirrel brains who shoot up crowds from bell towers with highly trained military specialists who can remove a threat with one shot at 700 yards, and nothing can be further from the fact ( hopefully the threat removed is the asshole in the belltower) I can guarantee right now there is some wannabe in his moms basement fondling ( among other things) some form of fake 91/30 PU and thinking having that weapon makes him a " sniper". The military actually has guidelines for recruiters to watch out for these types who come in wanting to be " snipers" Only a few percent of us can even dream of the skillset required to be a military marksman. On my best day I was average, most of us shoot at stationary targets 50-100 yards away from nice covered benches. Only a tiny few can reach out to 700-1000 yards or farther and place an aimed round were they want it. The requirement's go well beyond marksmanship , Special Additional Skill B4's must be masters of camouflage, infiltration, in many ways be super soldiers, no fucking wannabe's need apply. Miller has a nice US rifle Cal .30 M1903A4, noplace on the weapon does it say sniper", you would have to dig into the military paperwork to find that term used. In our hands that rifle is the 1903A4 former sniper platform weapon, and relic of history. Sounds better than the generic term sniper rifle.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

You forgot about the Colonial men that were good enough shots to go out and get a meal of Snipes . I reckon that's where "sniper" came from I'll try to remember all the other stuff, but does any one want to post your Russian Mosin Nagant or other rifle with the correct telescopic sight as used in war, It would be cool. I guess I should have called this post" sniper rifle review." on the Sniper rifle forum. :facepalm2: whew :vcool: to review. Or not. I don't have one . I'm not paying $900 for one. I've got a Springfield scope mount for my M1A if I ever decide to use it,. :Drool1: :this little man is Not :hunter: a sniper. Too goggle eyed.
