I’m wondering why the overall length of an 150 grain Spitzer round is so much shorter than a 148 grain FMJ round?

Kari Prager was a true gentleman. He helped me a lot when I started reloading. He was a big fan of the H380. The only problem I have ever had with it is that you can run into ignition problems when the temps fall to freezing or below.dolk wrote:Here is what Kari taught me to use. And this guy knew just about everything about reloading. It's how I started with him showing me how.
Hogden H380 powder 50 grains
Sierra .311 DIA. 303 cal 150 GR. Spitzer
I don't use anything else. Kari told me every rifle shoot a different load. He used to reload rounds with as little a a few grains difference in each and fire them in the same rifle till he found what worked best.
For those of you that didn't know Kari, that's really too bad.
