M38 is back in shootable condition

Post by miner49r »

I traded a guy for an M38 a while ago that had a badly damaged stock. The original stock was repaired but it was still pretty badly beat up. During the course of trying to find a stock, I found someone selling a crap ton of SKS parts including stocks. Among all that stuff was an M44 stock in wonderful condition. I just need a cleaning rod from EBAY and I'll be good to go.
The gun looks as it should with all original parts including barrel bands that were a great deal on EBAY all the way from Sweden.
This is not a restoration but simply putting the gun back as it was in a stable stock that allows me to shoot it.
It must be time to watch the Superbowl commercials - this is the last year we get the commercials in Canada. Thanks Mr. Trump...

Complaining about not getting commercials while watching TV? You know some of us pay good money for that right?
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.

The Commercials were nearly as bad as the game was this year anyway. I'd of been pissed if I paid to watch punting Simulator 2019.
