Not the Mr. BIG I'd been seeing pre season but he'll do for this year.
Took this the first morning at 10am as I was about to call it quits for the day. Since hanging around with you guys I'd rather test rifles and ammo at the range punching paper. I just can not sit still for long anymore, I'm like I have ants in my pants...
Rifle used this time was a older model Winchester Feather Weight in 30.06 with a Vortex Crossfire II scope. Range is about 200 yards. You can see my little hunting shack in the background. I hope everyone had a safe hunting season this year. First deer I'd taken with a modern rifle in a long while, I usually use a different type of older military weapon each year.

Nice deer and hunting spot. Am I the only one who thinks that would be a great valley for a private shooting range????

A really nice buck and fairly long shot with the .30-06. Looks like you have a great place to hunt.

Sometimes a young whippersnapper will take an aged party to the woods and the whippersnapper is never heard from again.

Muy beano.

I have to ration it to myself, or I'll eat too much and get a deer meat butt plug .

WE are eating it in the work truck, mid morning and lunch, 4 days a week. I started back working out , lost 8 lbs. and feel good. Smoked Ven Goode. And gorp and dried fruit and greens and the other major food groups.

Well, damn, I thought it was some kind of secret sauce or something most people wouldn't eat.
