J&G Mosin’s for Sales

Post by Rowdy1 »

I got an ad from them and they had Mosin’s for almost $500. Prices are getting a little crazy. Also M1 paratrooper carbines are running $2500-4000.

M1A1's for four G? SHit! That mean mine is too expensive to use far a camp rifle anymore?
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Prices are going crazy right now- I think there is a lot of unnecessary inflation on mil-surp stuff... I have been looking at getting an SKS for a little while, and there were a couple for $375 at a local shop that I missed out on... Cabelas got a truckload of Yugoslavian ones with the grenade launcher, no bayonet, and in battle rough condition (many seem to not function 100% with mag catch dropping the bolt etc) and they run from $479-$599 and NONE of them were nice enough for me to ever consider spending that much, especially with no bayonet or accessories. Theyre not selling... just like their overpriced rusty mosins... not sure where they get their values from...

Meanwhile, another local shop that I trust had a nice Norinco SKS with a refinished stock, in ready to fire condition, with bayonet and sling for $499... That one sold in 3 days...

All of a sudden, my meager collection of refurb Mosin Nagant rifles is looking pretty damn good. The only Mosin Nagant I would be willing to pay $500 or over would be a nice Finn (I don't have one) or a Remington or Westinghouse M91 in good shape.
