Here's my other nice find from the Allentown PA show today.

I don't really collect Finn capture M91/30's, but for the price I couldn't pass this one up.

This 1939 Izhevsk is all original matching, with every part (minus a Tula marked cleaning rod) having the correct Izhevsk proofs. The stock has some really nicely struck cartouches as well. Seems all the Finns did was put an "SA" mark on the barrel shank.

The rifle also came with a really nice sling, which I think is WWII Russian in origin? Please correct me if I'm wrong. Dog collars look to be leather, and there are some faint ink stamps on the sling, but I can't see what they say.

For $350, no way I was leaving it there. Not much else to say except it's nice to find an original matching M91/30, even with the "SA" mark.

Enjoy the photos!

Nice find, I was not too far away from Allentown today, I was over in Scranton, and then Milford. This trip was about coins a friend of mine needed to see at a show, then I investigated an antique car dealer in Milford, along with some shops were I scored some goodies.

I've asked before about Finn captures having brass end caps on the handguard. It seems most do. Here is another. If they are going to make a two piece stock, how much more trouble to make a new handguard? Could it improve accuracy ?
