New rimfire

I thought I'd bought a little .22 plinker. :facepalm1: I won't find any ammo for this one though. I loaded a .22 cartridge in it and it dropped all the way through the bore. It's a 7.62 rimfire. It's a beauty though, I'll find a place to hang it up.

That's rather neat, but where will you find ammunition?

Anybody got any .30 cast bullets that could send me a couple to slug this thing with, or know of a source ? I've seen one or two more listed as .32 rimfire, but you know about Russia/ Belgium and the 3 line bullets, I think it's .30. A 7.62 round fits the muzzle tight and begins to cut rifling when forced a little.

I just pulled a .32 S&W slug and sent thru the bore in this rifle. It wasn't too hard to knock thru, especially past halfway. It cut decent rifling , this must be a .32 rimfire ya think ?

I've found a way to shoot these old obsolete rimfires. One Co. called Dixie makes several caliber cases with hollow bases for .22 caps. You put a little black powder in and a .31 ball, put the .22 cap in and boom. I made one out of a .32 S&W short and fired a .22 short thru it, but I'm afraid of the rim breaking off. I've got components ordered.

Navy Arms imported .32RF from a company out of Brazil up until about 6 years ago. There are a couple websites that specialize in that type of ammo. I bought some .41RF once off of one of them. Also imported by Navy Arms.

I found a guy on GB Modifing .32 S&W into .32 colt. This fits the chamber. He then machines a hole in the rim for a .22 cap. Load with pyrodex and a .31 ball , I should be shooting soon. About $4 per cartidge shipped, reusable .

Better make damn sure of the cal before reloading.

I have this link I used when re-loading 32 rimfires.

Which guns were you reloading for ? This chamber is too tight for a .32 S&W and a .32 Colt wallers around in it a bit. The cases I've got coming are .32 S&W sized down to a .32 colt short. I'm hoping they will expand to fit the chamber if they don't crack.
