Picked up a sweet little Remington side by side in 16 gauge.

E-mailed the serial number to Remington and they replied in less than a half hour.Told me this model 1900 was made in 1905,cool. :vcool:

Took it out and fired half a box and holy smokes this light little gun has a good kick to it.

The rubber buttpad isn't original but it sure does look like it's been there for awhile.Chokes are modified and full.Got some old paper shells with it too.The red ones are Dominion Canuck low brass and the purple ones are Dominion Imperial high brass.

Dang old grouse are going to be in big trouble this fall.

Yeah I think for the time being I just might get one of those rubber slide on ones and get a proper repair done later.

That's a damn nice looking shotgun! I'd love to pick up a nice old side by side one of these days.

A slip on would do just fine.

Friend of mine just told me not to shoot modern ammo out of it...oops to late fired Federal high brass this afternoon so I gotta ask..

Would this gun have a Damascus barrel?

You need to "clean your butt a little" (pardon the joke!!!) Nice looking rifle and they do have a bit of a kick. But not bad.

Hey, looks just like my Remington24 16 ga. 1940
Mine was my Grandfathers handed down to my Dad, then to me.
