Hi all, I have a Tula 1920 M91 that has a struck C on the barrel shank. It's a mix of parts but mostly Tula, and has not been refurbed. Anybody know what the C indicates? ADMINS: feel free to use the photo as a 1919-1920 Tula example photo, thank you.

Re: C on the barrel shank?
I think somewhere in the deep dark corners of my old brain that was thought to be a Serbian connection but I am not positive in anyway. Sorry Bill
Re: C on the barrel shank?
Yep, the "C" is their version of "S" for Serbia. Cool old rifle.

Re: C on the barrel shank?
I'm thinking their may be more than one meaning for the C. The later rifles like the OP'S. don't seem to jive with a Serb connection as far as the historical timeline goes. I could be wrong though.
On Facebook? Check out the non-sporter preservationist group at: OOOPS. Deleted by Facebook because it's evil to even discuss collectible firearms on social media these days.
Re: C on the barrel shank?
Honestly you'll probably never know for sure unless that rifle learns how to speak one day.
Re: C on the barrel shank?
Serbian capture. But, I love the rifle. You don't see too many RFSFR's around any more. I will usually snatch any of these up if they are priced decently. I like it.
