Just posting two pics I took of my new rifle. I've been wanting to get something like this for a while. I have a few AR15's, but I've been wanting something with a folding stock, right sided charging handle, a top rail, and able to accept common AR15 magazines. I haven't had time to tear it down yet--but I can't wait (I love breaking down firearms). The charging handle is currently on the left hand side, but I'm moving it to the right. I also have to reverse the cheek riser. I'm a left handed shooter. Not sure what type of optic I'll get for it. The action is unbelievably smooth on this. The trigger is really nice too. I'm probably going to get the top half cerakoted when I decide on a color. I hate spending a lot on a firearm, but I had to do it to get what I want. From the reviews I've seen (MAC and MrGunsngear), these are pretty accurate rifles.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
I hope to take it out this weekend. I think I saw the video for these when I was looking at Scorpion Evo videos. I've really been wanting a rifle like this for a while. I thought about getting the pistol and SBR-ing it, but I didn't want to wait months in order to shoulder it. I signed up for a credit card that offered $150 cash back if you spent over $1,000. They also offered 0% interest for 15 months. So, that takes some of the sting away from the cost of the rifle (although I won't like making the payments every month).
I got to take this out today. It shoots really nice, but really high. I didn't have enough time to fiddle with the front sight post in order to bring the shots down some--I'll have to do that on another trip. What is really neat is the front post has a white dot on it, and is actually two sections. The one section adjusts the post for elevation. The other section allows you to spin the post around so that the white dot is facing you after adjusting for elevation. The dot is hard/impossible to see in low light. Also, I just go by the position of the post relative to the ring of the rear sight. But, it's a neat addition regardless. The windage was on target. I was shooting PWC XM855 (I think 62 grain) for these first three shots. I next shot some 55 grain Tula, but it completely missed the target (guessing it shoots higher). As a point of reference, I was aiming at the middle of the target when shooting. This was at 50 yards.

Ebay had 20% off coupon recently and I picked up a Primary Arms 1-6 ACSS with a Burris PEPR mount at a little over $300 shipped. Really like the look of the scope and mount on the rifle.
