circa 1940 MARLIN 81-BE

[WASATCH CHARLIE]

Was just ''thumbing'' thru the small calibre forum and came upon a post about the MARLIN 81 DL,. I have a ''barn find'' that took several days of soaking the bolt just to get it out of the gun.....was wrapped up in an oily ''blanket''. after cleaning, it turned out to be a great shooter model 81-BE with factory apature/peep sight and hooded front sight. dark walnut oversize stock....it gets to go blue and ruff grouse hunting every year. as a side note, its favourite ammo is 38GRAIN hollowpoint American eagle....it does not like cci /stingers
