I purchased a bulk bag of 50 rounds of surplus heavy ball ammunition a while back but I have not been able to find any information on a 60/36 head stamp like the ones on the cartridges, also one cartridge appears to be brass and not steel. Standard Russian heavy ball ammo has a head stamp of 60/35 and I have not seen any information regarding other countries using it. I'm new, if this is the wrong board I apologize.

Re: Unknown 7.62x54r head stamps
Machine Gun ammo. I had to translate this site to english. But if you do a CTRL+F for 36 you see that exact ammo pop up. Sure it's not 50/36 ? If it is that's Penza according to that site and it is indeed Brass case.
Otherwise best guess is it was made in Lugansk/Frunze in 1936 just guessing though. 60 being the arsenal/factory name and 36 being the year. Just guessing though.

1936 Lugansk production.
Soviet type D heavy ball, lead core. Definitely could be brass or steel cased.
