Looking for a Accurate non punishing load

I am working on loads for my m44 that will still be accurate but not punishing. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Is there a published load somewhere that will fit the bill that you have tried and had good results with both accuracy and reasonable recoil.
thanks

Be more specific. You can make loads that are very accurate at 25 yards that have virtually no recoil, but at 100 yards, your target will look like you used buckshot on it. Plan on hunting with this load? That's another factor to consider.

Ok, considering a load for Hogs to maybe 100 yards.
thanks

I got a nice slip-over rubber recoil pad for mine that makes shooting a true pleasure. It slips over the stock, so you're not hurting or modifying the rifle in any way.

Ha that's funny. After I stopped shooting I went and got a limb saver. Didn't try it yet but it has to help. LOL

OK, dug my load data out. Light load, 33.6 gr IMR 3031 Remington or Horandy .310 AK bullet, 2.654" COAL CCI 200 primer, Graf''s or PPU brass.
This is a former member's (Ron7.62) bear load, should work for hogs too. Not a light load, but for hogs, that's good: 41.6 gr. IMR 4064, 180 gr. Nosler CT Ballistic Silvertip, Graf's brass, CCI 200, 2.95" COAL.
Another member many years back posted this load for accuracy: (.65"@100yd.) SIerra 150 SP (.311) neck-sized only, CCI 200 primer, 49.5 gr. IMR 4350. No COAL listed. Of course neck sized only must be used with the rifle it was shot in before.
"The Load" is a nice plainking/training round.
I have more data for 125, 150, and 180 gr. with more propellants also.

For the number of rounds you will fire while hunting a PTRS-41 with any load should suffice without undue punishment. The hog will be dressed and BBQ'ed in one quick shot.

Yep your right. Hopefully one shot one kill. Actually that it always my goal when hunting. I will probably use heavier loads for hunting but for just having fun I really don't want the recoil. Eventually it isn't fun so what's the point right. LOL

Thanks. I am guessing the .65" was with glass. Man I hope so. Can't see myself with that group with irons.LOL Pretty much out of bullets. Used the last ones today loading "The Load" rounds. I hope to get them tested tomorrow. Thinkin about a scout setup from Brass Stacker but Idono. That would give be some magnification. Right now I just like the irons. Ordered some Sierra Match Kings so see how they go.
Can't really give ya a group size. My loads aren't even on paper. Well the groups are patterns. LOL I think I have a PPU group of about 2" at 50. Ill have to look that one up. Still not good enough for pork.

You will like the Sierra Match Kings. I have used them in 6.5x55 and .303 British.
