JR carbine in 9mm

Post by miner49r »

I bought a used JR Carbine in 9mm at P&D last weekend. The part that attracted me to it is that it's ambidextrous and cheap to shoot. I had the ports changed over to left hand pretty quickly and so far it's a fun little toy. The gun came with a red dot scope so it's a point and shoot.
Anybody have one? Any mods to make the last round eject properly? Mine tends to eat the last piece of brass. ImageImage

Just a lucky find while I was looking for 7.62x54r ammo to feed the mosins. My son spotted it, I said no but he googled the ambidextrous part so that sealed the deal.
The gun plus scope was 700 CAD which is about a third of new cost.
Someone consigned it so they didn't make much considering the gun place takes 30% commission. Fun little gun despite being a direct impingement action. Hard to take apart so full cleaning won't be every time it is used.
