What kind of bullet would a 7.62 NATO be, made '69-'72 @ Lake City. Steel core?

M80 ball would be a 147 gr. FMJ projectile, M118 Match would be a 173 gr. Both would be copper FMJ lead core. M62 Tracer is a 142 gr. Jacketed bullet with a tracer composition. M61 AP uses the same 150 gr. bullet as M2 .30-06 AP. Tracer has an orange tip, AP, black. Ball and Match have no coloring.

I bought this loose 200-300 rounds, it's plain fmj, doubt if it's match. So, I'm guessing it's the 147 M80. Headstamp LCA 69 or 72 w/ NATO crosshair.

Check with a magnet, the Federal Lake City XM80 149gr lead core FMJ with a magnetic bi-metal jacket.

You could always pull a bullet and weigh it
