Arsenal marks? "Trench art"? Person or Place name? Chicken scratch?

Just got in a new Izmash plum magazine for my 74 and it's got some interesting markings carved / scratched into it. Not sure whether it would be the arsenal that would have done it or if it was some bored guy putting his name or location on it.. Of course it could just be a bunch of chicken scratch too! Any ideas? If the first one is "Mintara", there's a place in Burkina Faso named that. It's also a person name in a few different places. Beats me.

This is up at the top of the mag.

This one is harder to see, very faint. This is down near the bottom, on the side.

:vconfused: Wow, I've got no idea. The one under "Mintara" looks like a possible serial #? No clue on the second picture either. Is it upside down?

The arsenal didn't do anything so crude, not in the post WW2 era, soldier done for reasons unknown, other that the name of course, that's obvious.
