K98k bayonet
Here is a picture of my 1939 Carl Eickhorn K98k bayonet. A neighbor and I made the mount for it( we already had the shelf). However I am only allowed to display it

Cool, orphaned bayonets (Gun-less bayonets) in our house either end up in a shadow box or sitting on a shelf in the office/gunroom! One reason is we ran out of room in the living room to display stuff

Nice job. Barbaric? Oh man, whoever said that would shit a brick if they saw what I display around the place.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

They would shit egg rolls at my house. Barbaric indeed. Nice bayo. I have a Carl Eickhorn made piece as well. It is WW1 vintage.

I forgot...If they make you sell it, I need a 1939 bayonet to go with my 1939 Russian capture K98.

Re: K98k bayonet
Sorry Longcolt44 but this one is not for sale(at least for the time being), will certainly contact you though if it is. The same person that called it "barbaric"(my sister) also says I hang out with too many old guys and that I'm starting to sound like one!Longcolt44 wrote:I forgot...If they make you sell it, I need a 1939 bayonet to go with my 1939 Russian capture K98.

Re: K98k bayonet
Your making the offer to the wrong party Chuck, toss a number at the sister and I bet she swipes that bayonet and sells it to you in a heartbeat. We now know she doesn't want it around, and we know who to approach with the offer for optimum results.

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
