Debanned nhm 91?

Post by Ryan1891 »

Hi I just put a nhm 91 on layaway for $650, which I feel like was a great deal. But after some research Im seeing stuff about people de banning the rifle to make it 922r compliant, and mine doesn't have the original stock. It appears to have a romanian stock so my question is, is mine not 922r compliant?
Thanks Ryan.

I don't know anything about this 922r business, but this link might be helpful. http://www.tapco.com/section922r/
“Freedom is the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.” George Orwell, English novelist, essayist, and critic, 1903-1950

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

A Romanian stock is not a 922r compliant part. (Has to be made in the USA!)

10 parts have to be made in the USA to be 922r compliant. And only certain parts are counted.

922R only starts to be an issue when you start dropping US made parts into the gun. It's why my SA85M will never have US parts in it.
