I picked up this Flobert Fallinblo .22 (I think it is a .22) made in Belgium. It is just a wall hanger, but I liked the looks of it. It was in terrible shape with a cracked stock and rust so deep I wondered if I could get it off. However, does anyone know anything about these rifles? Any info would be appreciated.

Nice rifle, but I am not familiar with it, Belgium had, and has a thriving firearms manufacturing industry made up of many small shops. SO many have come and go over the century's that I can't keep track of them.

It's what's known as a 'parlor rifle'. Shooting Flobert rounds indoors was a popular pastime around the turn of the century. A minimal backstop was needed compared to even .22 shorts. Flobert rounds were propelled by only the primer, like the Aguila Colibri rounds of today. Gentlemen often bet on their shooting in after dinner matches during the'social season' at upper crust society parties.
