I've posted here before about my Argentine Rolling Block Rifle that I load for and shoot. Well as of today I have twins. I had one I've been paying on and today I picked her up from the shop the bore and crown look to me as if sense it was re-arsenaled it hasn't been shot. So I'll take her down next week check everything out they I guess it will be time for a range test along with the other one. I'll post pictures later.

Remember that the Argentine government did not pay for a Soviet style rearsenal, they weren't insane , they cleaned up the rifles, repaired wood, and reblued them. Since the original Argentine roller had a tinned receiver they blued these parts. They did not do things like counterbores, most if not all the parts should be original to that rifle. The idea was to make the rifles look nice so they would command better prices on the world surplus arms market of the 1950's and 60's. What has kept them nice is the lack of ammo. The Argentines forgot to mention that they had rifles but very little surplus ammo to sell with them, and nobody was loading that round in the 1950's. Kind of like what Bannerman did with the Vetterlis back in the 1900's, sell the rifle with ten rounds of ammo, customer buys the rifle thinking ammo will be no problem, surprise, we are all out.
