I anticipated a horrible contest that would end in a tie between JYD and dolk......

Oh, come on-I'm talking about hideout pistols.

I never knew about these rifles before seeing wolfstein's post; they are a neat little .22! I'll be on the lookut for them in the future.

Why wouldn't there be a Chicago, Germany? There's a Berlin, Illinois, as well as New Berlin, Ill.

If I had a hideout pistol would I tell you about it? Probably not, then it wouldn't be a surprise.

So let me get this straight. You been selling red ass salve and was the top salesman and won the grand prize? A German bolt action 22 from Chicago? Is that what you're saying? [emoji14]

That's the way it would have worked back in the 50's......You sell enough salve door to door and win a prize, back then a boy's .22 rifle...Bob Dylan wrote "these times they are a changing". Imagine if a company today tried to get a boy ,or girl, to sell their product so they could win a rifle??????? Uh, lawsuit? When I bought this'n it had been sittin in a closet for 40 yrs. Had a pretty good coat of rust, and no front sight. A Canadian dime fit the slot for the sight perfectly, and so using Smoky Mtn. technology the little feller now has a front sight again and is real close to original again......I'm hoping mine is the only one left in the USA with a German barrel......$$$$$$$$$ :shifty: SBP
