Video of me out enjoying my Vietnam era m16 with olypima bottom end. They cutt back the bolt to make it work for a semi auto.. Love shooting this old girl, smooth, hardly any recoil at all, light as a feather.. like it even more than my newer colt semi auto, which is heavier and recoils much harder..lol...I am shooting 5.56 thru it. " she was made to digest both" Ex NATO gun.

I love those triangular foregrips, they're so pretty! In a cool and vintage space-age kind of way.
I've though about putting a 36" barrel on my AR. Push the limits of the 5.56x45mm a little bit, keep the coyotes out of flamethrower distance. Brave little mutts, they are.

I had one back in the 90's, during the Clinton Crime Bill panic I unloaded it for a big pile of cash, used the cash to buy milsurps that are now worth even more cash.

Great machines, i was really wanting a ar10 when i ran into this one..All my friends have Armalite ar10's and DPMS a4's ar's, but none of them got a vintage m16 style and i always wanted one, i have to say i love how light it is and comfy. and plus i have a M1 garand if they wanna break out the high power semi auto's on me ;)

Me too on the triangle grips, they are so much more comfy than round ones " atleast for me" more ergo..lol...No matter if i hold it far out or up close on the forgrip. it was easy to find a comfy spot.

Ohh yes...This very rifle i went to a gun show 25 year'ish ago...My cousin got it for his brother, he paid 400 bucks for it..priced jumped like crazy soon as the brady bill went into play...It dropped again for a bit, and he made a me a offer i could not refuse on the old beasty..Guy we got it from said it was all built from real colt m16 parts " we did not care at the time" just hoped it worked great and looked good!!..lol..I got it home and checked,,,Sure enough everything m16a1 colt, besides the flash supperssor on the end was missing..All milled front sites and such. and triple colt stamped for some odd reason. It very fast become one of my fav semi auto plinkers.

The Colt Parts kits have been showing up on and off lately. They're demilled and have some furniture issues but you can still have one for about the same cost as an AR. These are out of stock right now but it gives you an idea of what they are. http://gun-deals.com/deals/20627-colt-m ... y-original
I have a Garand too. My shooting buddy has a SCAR 17 that he likes to wave in my face as his semi auto of choice and my Garand puts it to shame for style and sound. But Im hoping this Armalite ar10t will stop his gloating once we start shooting for groups.

Mine was an actual Colt SP1, I banged the buyer hard for it and he paid, sellers market, worst time to buy. The milsurps I bought with the money, some with US flaming bomb stamps on them are worth well over 3 grand today. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOh they are gonna ban the AR's and H&K's, we will never be able to get one again, whatever I have to pay to get one is not enough, the hell with those old Springfield bolt rifles Yea didn't bother me one bit when they left them old bolt rifles on the table Others were buying semi's like they were the golden ticket into heaven, I was over in the corner buying US M1903's and 1917 Enfields among other things. Thank you President Clinton

Yup..same here junkyard.. When i got just a regular ar15 from a bud before the big bans and scares, i paid 400 bucks for a complete AR, during this last big bad deal i sold it for 1200...Now it dropped down too about a 800 dollar machine, it is all about timing;) During the last big bans " i too was over looking at old bolt actions" I picked up a cherry early m44, one of the nices ones i ever seen for 50 bucks!! everyone else was after AR-15's....Sold it for 400 bucks..lol..M1 garand i got the same way too...Got it off a friend for 600 ish..but what a beauty " i thought i was over paying at the time" serial in the 2 millions and original barrel still....heck i had offers of 1,500 on it now..lol
I'm the say way...If some gun is going out of control and too high priced, i start looking at the guns people are neglecting at the time for the latest craze!! ;)
