Argentine Family Photo

Post by qz2026 »

I think my Argentine collection is complete. My original goal was to acquire representative examples of the Argentine Mausers. I think (hope) this is as far as I go with them but you never really know... They now occupy a special place in the basement "museum" near my desk - the only Mausers in a Mosin rich environment just for balance of course. Big thanks to Martin08 with the 1891's - the ones that he assisted with the sales are in amazing condition-he's been bugging me to post them for a while.

From top to bottom:

M1891 Battle Rifle, 1894 Loewe - fully matching with scrubbed shank. I added the correct handguard.
M1891 Cavalry Carbine, 1892 Loewe, fully matching with beautiful crest
M1891 Engineer's Carbine, 1899 DWM, non matching stock, otherwise matching with beautiful crest
M1909 Battle Rifle, 1909/47 DWM, Ejercito Argentino, 1st Variant, fully matching
M1909 Engineer's Carbine, 1909/47 DWM, Ejercito Argentino, 1st Variant, matching except cleaning rod w/beautiful crest.
M1909 Cavalry Carbine, 1909/47 1951 FMAP, mismatched stock, otherwise matching, w/beautiful crest

Thought you guys would enjoy this...

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

The Argentine Mausers, along with the Swedes, are the most aesthetically appealing in my eye- fit, finish, clean lines, accurate.... Nice job finding the 1891 Calvary Carbine (no Bayonet fittings). They are in the "seldom seen" arena - and hard to acquire when you do...

Great collection! Sooner or later the "Argentine element" will be added to my collection, too, but I'm afraid that I'll have to make do with a "run-of-the-mill" 1909 at best.

Very impressive line-up of South American Mausers!

A few of those look rather familiar.

Very nice Argentine collection. One to be proud of. These are some of the best Mausers in my opinion. I have a couple of 1891 rifles that I really love to shoot. They will be passed down to my twin boys.

You reminded me, I have an 1891 Argentine Mauser. I have a 100 rounds of 7.65X54 I have yet to put through it.
